We are well placed to advise companies and businesses on the tax implications of providing benefits and expenses as well as the operation of payrolls. Our consultants include individuals once engaged in assessing the value of "non-cash payments" for Her Majesty's Inspector of Taxes (now HM Revenue & Customs) and the examination of employers' returns.
The Business and Company Perspective
We specialise in providing a "pre-visit" examination of the records and systems of our client companies and businesses in cases where HM Revenue & Customs propose to carry out a "visit" or audit. This allows us to highlight areas that might be of concern and to put in place any necessary changes that will satisfy Revenue investigators.

We also negotiate settlements, dispensations and agreements on our clients' behalf in order to reduce the overall burden of tax and the record-keeping involved.

Some of our business clients have already benefited from advice given by us in order to reduce the taxable values of benefits and expenses provided to their staff. The benefits not only include a reduction in the businesses' liability to charges such as National Insurance, but also a happier workforce experiencing reductions in individuals' personal liabilities to tax.

Whilst our "pre-visit" service is the most efficient, we can of course get involved with our clients' affairs at any stage to take up negotiations with HM Revenue & Customs.

The Individual Perspective

Many individuals realize that not only do they have to pay tax in respect of their income each year, but many of them also have to pay even more tax on a notional value attributed to any "benefits", such as having a company car.

At Outcome Tax we are concerned with reducing our clients' tax bills, whenever possible. We provide a comprehensive service which includes the reviewing of individuals' taxable benefits and the options that are available to reduce the tax that will be charged.
